Welcome! This is where you can find New Music from the latest artists and bands specifically tailored to your tastes. To start off we will feature the top 9 genres and will be adding more as the site grows and people submit more New Music from all of the unsigned/upcoming artists.
Our featured band of the month will always be on the top of the page and also every page thereafter : ). If you love or hate the New Music you hear why not submit your group or a friends band? We are always looking for the next best thing and new music.
We are really here to have a simple site that promotes one band per genre every month and give them a chance to have thier new music be heard!
You can download one song or the entire record directly from our site. No sign up. No log in. No account needed. Downloads are priced the same as other services charge for New Music but with a much higher percentage going to the people who need it, the artists.
Not a fan of this months featured artist? That's cool, too. You can check out our catalog of previously featured bands and stream their New Music. Our goal is to expose you to the most New Music and bands you should be hearing but have not heard yet. These bands are the next big thing and we are bringing them to you before they blow up in the music scene.
They key to our site is that we give you what is important, the music! Too many other sites claim that they are about the bands, but are clogged with ads, huge banners and are difficult to navigate. iWantGoodMusic has all of the information on the artists you could want including bios, photos, tour dates and contacts. But the first thing your getting is what you came here for, new bands that play something other than the radio !
Basically how we work is we search high and low through tons of other music platforms looking for new music. This takes a toll on us sometimes, but if very much worth it in the end. Daniel and Kellene are dedicated to finding new music we are positive you will enjoy and share with your friends. Kellene has been in bands her whole life and was always dedicated to playing new music as apposed to being a carbon copy of every other band out there. The problem with this is that most of those bands are never heard and get lost in translation! IWantGoodMusic.com was born because of this very reason. Kellene and Daniel want to give bands that they feel are different and upcoming a chance to actually be heard. Some bands may not be the MOST original per everyone's standards, but they try their best to choose groups everyone would enjoy.
